Henry D. C. Watson, born in Nashville, TN, was touched by the Hand of God and called unto Him as Lord and Savior. The holy call was evidenced further in acknowledging the call to preach God’s Word. Upon completing his high school studies, he entered the American Baptist College in Nashville, TN. He received his B.S. in Biblical Theology and Minor in Social Science.As an Elder, he proclaims the Sovereignty of God, with the Bible being the true and written Word of God, without error.Elder Henry Watson serves as Pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, TN. He began his Pastorate on August 3, 2019. His theme for the Church is “Serving Jehovah Faithfully” from 1 Samuel 12:24.Elder Henry Watson formerly served as an Ordained Elder for 5 years at the Hamilton Chapel Church in Gladeville, TN. He served under the leadership of the Senior Pastor, Dr. Robert Spickard.He also formerly served for 22 years as Assistant to the Senior Pastor the late Elder D. J. Ward at Main Street Baptist Church in Lexington, KY. He was licensed and severed as Associate Minister of New Hope Baptist Church, Nashville, TN. Senior Pastor, Elder James C. Turner. He is married to the former Trina Stanford of San Antonio, Texas. She is a graduate of Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN. They have two daughters, Ariel married to Anthony Snow Jr. and one child Anthony Snow III. Second daughter, Amaris Watson.
